There is more to life than just here and now. A true statement because as Catholics we believe that there is life after we die. As Catholics we believe that there are heaven and hell. Therefore, our life here on Earth is a temporary one and that our actions here on Earth determines where will we end up in eternity. Later when we die, there are 2 questions that God will ask. First, He will ask what did we do to His son, Jesus. Did we love Him, follow Him, and accept his grace and forgiveness. Second, He will ask what did we do with the talents and gift that He gave us.

Therefore, our actions here on Earth play a significant role on where we end up and it is important for us to do all the things that is right in God's eyes. This include using the talents that God has given to us to the best of our ability and to use them for the Glory of God. Our action on Earth also include how we answer to God's calling for our life and to do the work that He has entrusted to us. Therefore, we need to do them properly and wholeheartedly because when we do God's work here on Earth we will be rewarded by eternal life and we will live forever. Ultimately, it is important to do God's work while we still have the chance and to respond to His calling quickly because our time here on Earth is limited.

"This world is fading away, along with everything it craves. But if you do the will of God, you will live forever."
